Stay Ahead of Fraud with Instant Notifications - Real Time Fraud Alerts*

a better way to stay alert to debit and credit card fraud

In our commitment to safeguarding your financial security, we are excited to announce an upgrade to our fraud alert system. We’re introducing a swift and reliable notification system to keep you informed of any suspicious activity on your account.

Available Account Alert Options:

  • Email Alerts: Keep an eye on your inbox for instant notifications from no-reply@fraud.easterninfcu.com or no-reply@fraud.pscu.com. Our emails will provide timely updates and guidance on any suspicious transactions flagged by our advanced fraud detection system.

  • Text Alerts: For immediate attention, we’re bringing text alerts delivered straight to your mobile device. These messages will come from the fraud alert short code ‘49447’ ‘EastINFCU’, ensuring you receive timely notifications wherever you are.

  • Phone Calls: As always, our dedicated fraud detection team may reach out to you via phone calls. We’ve streamlined the process with a carousel presentation, making it easier than ever to verify any suspicious activity. The call-back number is our trusted number we have always used: 888-918-7313

How It Works

If you receive a card fraud alert by phone, text, or email about a suspicious transaction, we ask that you respond immediately to let us know whether the transaction is legitimate.

Fraud Alerts are texted from the the number 49447. (Protip: add to your contacts as Eastern Indiana Fraud Alert) You only need to respond “Y” or “N”.

Your quick response to these communications could help us stop further unauthorized transactions if someone else has accessed your card information.

If suspicious activity is detected on your Eastern Indiana card and we have your mobile number on file, we will send you a real-time text message like this:

FreeMSG EastINFCU Fraud Alert We declined $12.34 at (insert name) for card ending 1234 on 10/8/24 Was this you? Reply Y or N STOP to end alerts

If this is your transaction, reply Y. You’ll receive the following message and the transaction will go through:

FreeMSG EastINFCU Fraud Alert Thank you for confirming this is not fraud. Your card is available for use. If declined, please retry your purchase.

Or, if you do not recognize the transaction reply N. The transaction will be denied, a temporary hold will be placed on your card, and the fraud resolution process will begin as soon as you give us a call:

FreeMSG EastINFCU Fraud Alert Thank you. Your card is now blocked. We will call to review at a proper time. Please answer or call us. Case #1234 8889187313

Remember: We will never call you to obtain your card number, or account number, or PIN.
