What is a mobile wallet?

A mobile wallet (sometimes called a digital wallet) is exactly what it sounds like. It is a virtual wallet that is housed on your mobile device. It holds card information such as debit and credit cards, gift cards, and loyalty cards, much like a physical wallet. You can use your mobile wallet while shopping online or in stores, wherever a merchant accepts it. There are many types of digital wallets but the 3 most popular are Apple Pay, Google Wallet, and Samsung Wallet. Merchants are given a unique digital token instead of your card information. This token eliminates the need to enter and re-enter account numbers when making online purchases, plus it protects your card information.

Is it safe?

When you add a card to Samsung Wallet, Apple Pay or Google Wallet, the card number isn’t stored on your actual device. You’ll be assigned a unique Account Number, which is encrypted and securely stored on your phone. Every time you make a purchase, a unique transaction number is generated. Your card info is never shared with merchants, reducing the chance of your personal information being compromised.

My Debit card is expiring, when can I expect a new card to arrive?

Replacement Visa debit cards are mailed approximately at the beginning of your expiration month as it is noted on your card. This is to provide adequate time for the card to arrive and ensure that it is activated prior to the expiration. Your current card is valid the entire month of the expiration month on your card.


How do I request a reissuance of my debit card?

You can visit our branch to have the card instantly issued to you.


what does ATM point of sale mean on my statement?

A Point-of-Sale transaction is one where you authorize funds to be immediately withdrawn from your checking account. For example, if you are at the gas station or the supermarket, and you make a purchase, you are making a -Point-of-Sale transaction.
